Welcome To
Boulder City
Boulder City is such a unique small town that is completely different than the neighboring cities and it’s right outside Henderson and about 20 minutes from Las Vegas.
Boulder City has a view of the lake and it’s closer to wildlife, the Big Horn Sheep are such a site. Boulder City does not have any gaming and has a small town feel and its mostly older construction since there have been building restrictions all these years to keep the small-town feel.
My favorite things about Boulder City is its old town charm, how friendly everyone is and the walkability to bars and restaurants. It’s the home of a great wine restaurant, Milo’s, that is also a hotel, the best breakfast joint named the Coffee Cup with lots of old memorabilia, the Brewery for karaoke and the Dillinger’s burgers are killer. There is a brand new “speak easy” type of bar at the historic hotel in the basement that just opened in 2020. There is a famous Art in the Park at the end of Summer and has great art display, fantastic food and all kinds of beer and food from nearby restaurants.
Boulder City is the home of Lake Mead, The Hoover Dam, Bootleg Canyon, Black Canyon and Willow Beach. Lake Mead is a huge lake that satisfies boaters, swimmers, fisherman, kayakers and wake boarders. There are amazing mountain bike trails in Bootleg canyon and along the River Mountain Trails with views for days. There are also ziplines that go up to 50 MPH in Bootleg Canyon and there is also a fun railcar along the historic railroad that was in use from 1931-1961. There are also lots of hiking trails along the old railroad. Black canyon and Willow Beach have a historic tour near Hoover Dam and it’s great for boating, swimming and camping.
Living In
Boulder City
There has been some new action in Boulder City, it has had building restrictions in place for years and this has kept the land values higher than even the Las Vegas and Henderson areas.
Now is an exciting time because now there is going to be more opportunity for home buyers in Boulder City. A new home builder paid $9 million for the land and it will break ground in 2020 in what they call “Boulder City’s largest home development” in about 30 years. The new development will have average to massive estates that will include 127 homes that are no more than two stories with 3-7-bedrooms. Preliminary pricing starts in the low $400,000s.
The last development of this size was in the late 1980s and early 1990s when work on Municipal Golf Course Estates began. Contact the Lauren Paris group for current listings for sale and information about this new development in Boulder City.
